Postinor 2 is an emergency contraceptive pill or morning after pill, that contains one common female hormone, levonorgestrel, a progestin. This hormone prevents pregnancy mainly by delaying or preventing ovulation (the release of an egg from the ovary), thus preventing fertilizations.
